A specialized underbalance valve for tubing-conveyed perforating (TCP) operations, this sub functions after reaching the target downhole location and setting the packer—which isolates pressure between the casing and tubing. Once surface pressure is increased to the predetermined threshold, the sub’s internal shear pins fracture, causing the sliding sleeve to shift upward and open the production ports. This establishes a flow path between the casing and tubing below the packer, enabling reservoir fluid to enter the tubing string.
