RMSR Mechanical Setting Tools are dedicated to the mechanical deployment of RMCR Sleeve-Valve Cement Retainers, integrating both a stinger seal and mechanical setting functionality into a single unit. It features an integrated snap-latch mechanism that enables latching to the cement retainer via set-down weight, with release achievable through upward strain or right-hand rotation of the work string. The cement retainer’s sleeve-valve remains open during well deployment; post-setting, the valve can be closed by lifting the tool by two inches or reopened by lowering it two inches. The snap-latch allows sleeve-valve adjustment (open/closed) while the tubing remains anchored to the retainer. The valve is typically run open to facilitate tubing filling, but can be closed for in-run tubing pressure testing, enabling cement retainer setting and pressure testing in a single well trip.
